从中南大学工程院院士提名人邱冠周看中南大学真正的学术水平

又一轮中国工程院院士评选开始了,不知道又有几多高官和不学无术或混混教授入选其中。所幸的是,毕竟时代不同于以往,今天再要靠用专业的东西蒙骗外行,已经没有以前那么容易了。但是,仍然有很多所谓的大学和大学教授希冀用这一招来蒙骗广大无辜的观众-在大众的眼里,加工过的量化的指标比真正的学术水准和圈内的评价重要。中南大学的最近作为和工程院院士提名人又一次希望大众成为盲目的跟随者,希望大众为他们广含水分的量化指标所迷惑。
   最近比较关注中南大学,一方面因为它拿了个国家科技发明一等奖(虽然有很大的争议),另外是今年的两院院士增选它提名了三个人。湖南的大学有这么大的成就,还是要高兴一下。报着这样的饿目的,我饶有兴趣地查了它的三个提名人的学术记录。结果却令人大跌眼镜-就这样的水平,竟然还敢去参与院士评选。考虑到这次中南提名的人物都是中南研究顶级的人选,这次检索的结果只带来了两方面深深的担忧-中国的院士水平太次或者中南真正的科研水平太次。我个人倾向于选择后者,因为很多的院士的学术记录表现还是不错的。
  先看看中南大学的副校长邱冠周的学术记录,作为这次的国家科技发明一等奖的主要参与人之一和中南大学的副校长,邱先生应该是著作等身,学术成果昂然吧。作为工科的教授,即使SCI的记录不怎么样,EI应该有良好的表现吧。可惜到EI上一搜,真是令人大失所望。下面是邱副校长的EI记录:

随便看看,便可发现中南大学副校长,工程院院士提名人,中南大学科研的领军人物邱教授的发表的论文的特点。这里暂且总结几点,有兴趣的欢迎继续:

1.文章绝大部分发表在两种杂志上:<中南工业大学学报>和<中国有色金属学报>.这两种杂志在被EI收录的数千种期刊里是什么档次和水平,相信大家都清楚;
2.通讯作者的文章极少,仅仅5篇(其他的感兴趣的可以再查查);
3.从摘要看来,绝大多数文章没有什么创见,基本上是国内一般般大学的研究生期末论文水平。

这样的结果真的令人失望,如果中南就靠这样的人领军科研,后果将不堪设想。但是,这样的人偏偏是中南的科研领军人物,我们有充分的理由怀疑中南大学真正的科研水平,因为金属冶金是中南最好的学科。最好的学科尚且是这样的样子,其他不厉害的学科不知道怎么一个差字了得。

我本来还打算继续搜索一下邱教授的SCI和ISTP记录的,但是估计也好不到哪里去。有兴趣的可以继续搜索下,还有其他几位候选人的记录。但是我担心,恐怕也就那水平,如果EI,SCI等真的能说明些问题的话。

这也算是给本来一般般,却硬要吹那么大牛皮的中南大学一点教训吧。希望中南再也不要随便去蒙骗大众了-越来越多的大众知道什么是学术的,什么是非学术的,什么是高水平的,什么是混混类的。

读过丘的几篇相关论文 感觉很一般 正如楼主所说的硕士研究生水平;而且,内容接近的论文在国内外不同杂志上发表;有依次在路上碰到工大的一个博士,他这么评价周:周的前面有...(忘了),后有马屁精.感觉很顺口的一个评价

毕竟他现在还没当选,何况就算当选也没什么办法,新语丝曾经对比过一位新科院士和一位美国博士的学术成果,结果是令人震惊的,中国的院士还不如美国的博士

1.请给原文问出处?一起研究研究
2.为什么发明一等奖存在很大争议?有人/单位更早前就在研究c/c吗?
3.<中南工业大学学报>和<中国有色金属学报>档次不差,在有色金属领域有较大的国际影响;
4.不要低估中国高层的判断力。

呵呵,谢谢。由此看来,邱的学术水平低下是情有可原的了。不过,比较纳闷的是,为什么学术水平这么低下的人物仍然可以作为院士候选人推荐上去呢?

另外,《中南工业大学学报》和《中国有色金属学报》是很好的刊物吗?有影响吗?并不见得吧。如果说它们有国内影响,我不反对,(正如《东北大学学报(自然科学版)也有一样),至于国际影响,哈哈,大家都是做研究的,知道这是什么档次的刊物。

附带说明一下邱教授的文章(5篇第一作者和其他挂名的)的引用点数非常之低,绝大多数为0(这也可见这两种杂志之差还可)。

真正做研究的,我想没有人会以能在这两种杂志上发表文章为荣,除了中南的那帮教授们,说自己在SCI,EI上发表了多少多少文章。一般的人以为他们有多厉害,却没想到SCI有6000多种期刊,EI也有那么多,而中南的教授能够发表的基本上是他们自己的学报(档次真的很次的那种)。

转贴这篇文章,不是跟邱教授有个人的恩怨(我不认识他),而是为了捍卫学术的尊严,学术不是什么SCI或EI的文章,就像大学不能简单地比重点学科一样。中南现在的科研水平确实不怎么样(比它吹的要差得多),但是,毕竟是冷门的专业(只有中南在做),中南有这么一个得天独厚的条件,再过20来年,也许真的能出个什么成就来。只是中南现在在自欺欺人的道路上已经走出很远了。

不要动不动拿学术、研究说事。
小姐、姐姐、妹妹等词汇都被庸俗化了,再不要糟蹋学术和研究了。
不要以为现在的研究生就是所谓的在搞研究。硕士多如狗,博士满街走。

呵呵,谢谢。由此看来,邱的学术水平低下是情有可原的了。不过,比较纳闷的是,为什么学术水平这么低下的人物仍然可以作为院士候选人推荐上去呢?

另外,《中南工业大学学报》和《中国有色金属学报》是很好的刊物吗?有影响吗?并不见得吧。如果说它们有国内影响,我不反对,(正如《东北大学学报(自然科学版)也有一样),至于国际影响,哈哈,大家都是做研究的,知道这是什么档次的刊物。
