Guangdong Nortel Telecommunications Equipment Co. Ltd. (GDNT), officially founded in March 1995, is one of Nortel's key joint ventures. Continuing its tradition of innovation by technology transfer, localization, research and development, Guangdong Nortel provides secure solutions, comprehensive equipments and professional service to her customers, becoming the key hub for Nortel in the circle of the research, manufacturing and customer service all over the world.

In order to help customers stay ahead of threads, a Research and Development Center with sophisticated technical capabilities was established in Dec. 1995 in Guangzhou City, who undertakes major responsibilities in Nortel and her partners' development program. Now R&D coverage of the center keeps expanding, wireless, 3G UMTS, NGN haven been the key focus of our current R&D effort as well as Converged Network.

Guangdong Nortel keeps developing overseas technical service market besides of serving the national market. 职位描述
Software Designer
Work Location: Guangzhou
Responsibility:
Software design in GSM, CDMA, UMTS & NGN projects
Requirements:
Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science or other related majors
Solid knowledge of, C/C++ or related programming language is a must
Solid knowledge of OS, such as Unix, Linux or Vxworks, etc.
Knowledge of Computer networking is an asset
CET-6 holder preferred with good spoken English

软件设计工程师
工作地点：广州
职责:从事GSM，CDMA, UMTS和NGN 等领域的软件开发  
专业:大学本科或以上学历，计算机、电信、电子、自控、应用数学、物理等相关专业的毕业生
技能：
熟练掌握C/C++、或其他高级语言, UNIX、LINUX或嵌入式VxWorks等操作系统
掌握一定的电脑网络知识
英文良好，通过CET6者优先考虑


Product Test Engineer
Work Location: Guangzhou
Responsibilities:
Test/verify Nortel’s CDMA/NGN/GSM/3G UMTS product against specified requirements
Find defects in the product so that they are not delivered to the customer
Support customer testing and/or demonstrations
Maintain and manage test bed environment during product test activities
Solidify interfaces to other development organizations
Requirements:
Bachelor degree or above, major in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science
Telecommunications technology background (e.g. NGN/ GSM / GPRS networks, CDMA, WCDMA, etc) is preferred
Solid knowledge of UNIX, C/C++, Java and IP network is preferred
Fluent English, CET 6 is preferred
Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Self motivated and can work under pressure to meet tight deadlines



产品测试工程师
工作地点：广州
职责:  
从事北电CDMA/NGN/GSM/3G UMTS产品软件测试工作
确保在新产品进入市场之前找到可能的软件设计缺失
参与和支持客户的现场认证测试和试验工作
实验室测试设备的管理和维护
专业:  大学本科或以上学历，通信， 电子工程和计算机科学等相关专业
技能:
具备通信技术背景 (NGN / GSM / CDMA / WCDMA)
熟悉七号信令及通信网络知识, UNIX 操作系统, C/C++、Java 编写语言
英文良好,，通过CET6者优先考虑
良好的表达能力和沟通技巧

Position: Windows system administrator
(Work Location: Guangzhou)
Responsibility:
Windows applications deployment. Included Exchange, SMS, WSUS, anti-virus etc.
Windows servers maintenance;
Backup solution and SAN/NAS maintenance;
Second line helpdesk support;
Cooperate or performing internal/external audit activity.
Requirements:
Bachelor/Master degree, major in Computer network or relative subject
Training certification holder in the relative area is preferred.
With experience in LAN or WAN design and maintenance.
Experienced in Windows platform maintenance and its applications;
Familiar with TCP/IP protocol and troubleshooting skill.
Know well in LDAP/RADIUS authentication method and its application, have experience in 802.1x deployment is preferred.
Have basic knowledge in Web development and database management.
Know well in system security, common threats and its defense.
Good command of reading and writing English.
Provide a stable windows platform to staffs.

Position: Lab System Installation & Commission Engineer
(Work Location: Guangzhou)
Responsibility:
Lab System Installation Engineer
Execute and supervise on lab system installation
Requirements:
Bachelor/Master degree, Majored in Telecommunication
Training and Certificate in GSM/UMTS/CDMA is preferred
Experience in telecommunication system setup/maintenance is preferred
Solid knowledge on Telecommunication/Computer Network systems
Rich knowledge on SS7/IP/ATM
GSM/UMTS/CDMA experience is an asset
Good English skill in reading, writing and speaking
Provide system installation support for GLO projects

Position: Network administrator
(Work Location: Guangzhou)
Responsibility:
GDNT R&D LAN/WAN administrator
LAN/WAN deployment, management and troubleshooting;
Information security control and management;
Cooperate or performing internal/external audit activity.
Requirements:
Bachelor/Master degree, major in Computer network or relative subject
Training certification holder in the relative area is preferred.
With experience in LAN or WAN design and maintenance.
Experienced in Windows and Linux platform maintenance and its applications.
Good comprehension in TCP/IP protocol;
Master OSPF, RIP routing protocol and their configuration; have experience in 802.1x deployment is preferred.
Have knowledge in network security in theory, common threats and its defense.
Good command of reading and writing English.


Position : UNIX System Administrator (Configuration Administrator)

Responsibilities:
Unix system & ClearCase administration
Design environment support
Project handling
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or relative majors.
Minimum 1 year working experience in Unix ( HP-UX, Solaris, Linux) system administration.
Good in shell script, C++, Perl programming.
Experience in Configuration management (ClearCase) and development/compiling tools is preferred
Good self-study capability, being initiative.
Fluent English, CET-6 holder preferred


Position: GSM/UMTS lab support Engineer
(Work Location: Guangzhou)
Responsibilities:
Lab operation for GSM/UMTS lab.
Troubleshooting for GSM/UMTS equipment.
Lab test environment setup and monitor.

Requirements:
Bachelor or Master degree, majored in Telecommunication or Computer Science
Wireless network experience is preferred.
CET-6 holder preferred with good spoken English.


Position Title: Wireless Testing Tool Support Engineer
Location: GDNT RnD Center - GuangZhou

Job responsibilities:
To provide the GSM/CDMA Testing Tool support & troubleshooting
As a prime for release upgrade and maintenance
To do the sanity testing to ensure the system stable and well
As a coordinator to work with support of the Nortel Lab for resource arrangement and issue tracking

Requirements:
Bachelor degree or above, majored in Telecommunication / Electronic engineering / Computer science or related
good knowledge on GSM/CDAM Testing Tool system / platform with solid operating skill and other soft exchange system
Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Vxworks or other PC is an asset
CET-6 and Fluent English


Position Title: CMN Lab Support Engineer
Location:  GDNT RnD Center - GuangZhou

Job responsibilities:
To provide the CMN(Carrier Multimedia Networks) Lab support
Project support  for whole independent system deployment  


Requirements:
Bachelor degree or above, majored in Telecommunication / Electronic engineering / Computer science or related
Good Knowledge on SS7/VoIP/ATM, with solid operating skill of CMN is preferred
Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Vxworks or other PC is an asset
CET-6 and Fluent English
