第九届国际Web时代信息管理会议（WAIM2008）将于2008年7月20～22日在中国湖南省张家界市举行。会议由中国计算机协会数据库专委举办，本届会议由国防科技大学国家并行与分布处理重点实验室承办。会议论文集将由德国的Springer Verlag以Lecture Notes in Computer Science(LNCS)系列方式出版。

WAIM'08 将继续延承历届WAIM会议的传统，提供给世界各地的Web与数据库研究与实践者一个交流的平台，分享与交换他们之间所有关于Web数据管理的新想法，结论、实验和技术等等。会议还诚挚地邀请所有基于Web的信息系统的理论、设计和实现工作的原创性工业文章作为示例、指南和研讨。WAIM'08 期待世界各地最优秀的科研工作者都来到张家界，中国最美丽的地方之一。
